Vision:
A better world for all, where the poor and the less privileged especially children and women are empowered and their human rights are protected and promoted

Mission:
JC is dedicated to working with and empowering the less privileged especially children and women through education, health, capacity building of destitute and incapacitated households, social mobilization, awareness raising, research , advocacy and prevention and mitigation of HIV, TB and Malaria and other illnesses like blindness.

Our Activities

  1. Undertake programs which contribute towards progressive elimination of worst forms of child labor through the following interventions:
    • Withdrawal, rehabilitation and integration.
    • Promote awareness and advocacy on child labour issues.
    • Contribute to the formulation of policy and legal framework necessary for effective combating of child labour.
    • Mobilise community for effective participation on child labour programmes.
    • Care and empower the vulnerable children withdrawn from child labour through provision of transit home facilities, psycho-social/spiritual counselling, education, nutritional support and recreation.
    • Empower caregivers and guardians of children withdrawn from child labour through skills, basic business training, educational workshops and micro-credit provision.
    • Promote networking with other stakeholders on issues of child labour.

  2. Empowering the less priviledged children through the provison of education, skills training, psycho-social and spiritual counselling, health, reproductive health and nutritional requirements, proper water and sanitation facilities, recreation and other requirements for normal child development;
  3. Withdrwa, rehabilitate and reintergrate children from the street. JCM transit homes and JCM community schools to provide rehabilitation.
  4. Advocacy undertaken on issues concerning children and the women.
  5. Contributiong towards progressive elimination of all forms of child labour through internventions of withdrawal, rehabilitation and intergrations with the full participation of communities in project design, planning and implementation;
  6. Enhancing the capabilities of care-givers in the communities through awareness campaigns, educational workshops, skills training and credit extension;
  7. Initiation and carrying out gospel outreach activities such as evangelism, deliverance, discipleship and missions. This supported by mercy ministry;
  8. Identifying and proposing amendments to policies and practices which work to the disadvantage of the less privilaged, especially children and women;
  9. Networking with organisations and institutions which subscribe to the vision and mission of JCM;
  10. Providing emergency supplies such as food, medicine, clothes, shelter and other bridges and short term interventions;
  11. Establishing sustainability of JCM programs through undertaking appropriate, sustainable and profitable income generating initiatives such as agricultural production, chicken rearing, animal husbandry, trading etc
